Nina Libatique

Nina is an educator with backgrounds in Special Education, Sculpture (magna cum laude) from the University of the Philippines Diliman, Counseling Psychology (thesis level MA) from Ateneo De Manila University & MA in Gerontology from Miriam College. She previously managed a preschool for fourteen years and knows how interesting it is to “wear many hats”.

She believes in being a life-long learner and is currently finishing her dissertation in Family Studies also at Miriam College. She has worked with HIV survivors and their coaches, senior informal settlers, trafficked children, and children of EJK victims using art as a means of creative expression. She trained for two years and received her certificate in Child Play Psychotherapy from the Sunflower Child & Youth Center of St. Louis University and is currently undergoing supervision. She also conducted a workshop for teachers and guidance counselors on the topic “Introduction to Art Therapy”, during the 10th Philippine Association for Child and Play Therapy held at St. Paul’s University. She is connected with the Kalayaan College Fine Arts Program and Miriam College Applied Arts & Humanities department as a lecturer. She likes to see herself as a designer of activities to facilitate people’s sharing of their stories of healing through art.

We are open from Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6pm. Sundays by appointment only. We are closed on public holidays.
